As Chris Rock said, "Women HATE women." Sad but true.
Yes, it's men who perpetrate the actual violence and need a serious lesson, but the long-term solution must begin with women if its to happen at all. It'll take no small amount of strategy, bravery, and muscle (gotta learn to fight men at some point), but it's worth it.

It’s refreshing to hear a woman go beyond the “Look what you horrible men did to us!” mentality with regard to female-on-female hate, itsacharade. I remember having a conversation about domestic violence with my uncle and he pointed out that it's quite common for mother-in-laws to encourage or condone their sons' violence against their wives. I was stumped. Obviously patriarchy is so embedded in us that even we women buy into it and work against ourselves. But how long can we keep passing the buck when we are perpetuaters of violence against ourselves? In societies where patriarchal religious ideologies that seek to curb women's rights are rearing their head, why don't women organise themselves and fight it? Why do we wait until the worst is upon us, until we have no rights left and then blame men for carving out an advantageous position for themselves.
PS: Sorry went off on a tangent there but whether it's physical violence or codified body image, we seem to be our own worst enemy.

I’ve always tended to see men as the oppressor but now I’m beginning to think it’s time we women stop making excuses for ourselves.
