No, I think gender is not an overrated word. Gender stereotyping is overrated. These stereotypes irritate me no end!
This is all kinds of awesome….
Gender alone irritates me, period. Leave out stereotyping which adds the cream on top of the already stale cake called Gender.
I like the font color:) gender benderness ahhh!
For laughs, I think we should have a pink and blue friday every month at work . Everyone should wear blue tops and pink trousers to work with a rainbow belt! I know I have no sense of fashion
thats a bit feminist ! especially the last line!
And what’s wrong with feminist? There’s that quote, that feminism is the radical idea that women deserve equal rights.
While I’d say that it’s not always true, I think it’s a definite fact that most places around the world offer more privilege to males than females, just like caucasian people tend to have more privilege than black people. I don’t see this piece as being stereotypically “feminist” – I see it as being equalizing, pointing out that both biological females and males go through the same sorts of issues surrounding gender constructs, but in our society today, men tend to have it easier in the event they decide to deviate from the binary.
