While the song has always inspired gender-bending (see countless parodies on YouTube) they have never been particularly queer — the guys always dance badly in saris that are falling off, the sexual innuendo is toned down, and women are always the butt of the joke. I wanted to play with race, gender, and camp in this one. I hope you like it!
