You never had the courage to give our relationship a name
It concerned you more if the world found out & never looked at you the same

I remember the times we used to spend
Was it it love or just pretend ?

I gave up everything, for your sake
But for you, I was just one big mistake

I cried, I begged, but you didn’t listen to my pleas
In the end you went & chose him over me

I can hear my heart break as I try and fall asleep
But it’s hard when memories of you linger in my head so deep

With every passing day I feel more numb
Want to switch off & get over this self pity slum

The only way I see myself getting over you
Is when forever is through
