Dirty Talk returns for the 10th time just as we wish our Gaysi family a very happy ninth anniversary! For the uninitiated, Dirty Talk is our homegrown open-mic show, where we host performances, genre no bar! In our past editions, we’ve seen singing, dancing, stand-up, slam poetry – you name it, we’ve most likely seen it!
This time, Dirty Talk is coming to Zoo Bar (Vile Parle) on November 25 with its newest theme – Queer-O-City! It promises an evening of romancing cities, stories we tell from distant towns, of love and desires and nostalgia, of how our queer selves intersect with the places we inhabit or visit. So without further ado, we invite you to leave the world and all its worries at the door, and dive headfirst into the tales our nine brilliant performers weave for us! Does this sound like the perfect way to spend a Saturday evening? It does to us too!
What makes this edition extra special are our splendid partners, including Chandon and the Québec Government Office in Mumbai. You’d think we have the perfect recipe for a memorable evening – fine sparkling wine and some fun untold queer tales from India and the charming Quebec City, we’re going to have to tell you that Dirty Talk supports NGOs doing important work and that this time, our NGO partner is the Urja trust, a lovely group that works tirelessly to shelter vulnerable women.
So join us for an extraordinary desi melting pot of fun, warmth, togetherness and abandon. And get those tickets before we run out! They’re priced at Rs 500 – and there will be no sales at the door, so make sure you snag them in time and tell your friends!
We can’t wait to see you there.
