Writers’ Bloc is an effort to start a translation project of regional works of fiction into English and vice-versa. By regional works of fiction we mean, different forms of fictional literature including short stories, novellas, poetry and novels, in various Indian languages. Through this effort, we hope to reach out to the Queer community, apart from literature enthusiasts and the Internet’s ever-expanding readership.
“Where are you from, Raghu?” asked Kumar.
“I grew up in New Jersey,” replied Raghu. “My parents are originally from Chennai.”
“Oh! Nice. Do they live with you here?” I asked.
“Oh No! It is just me, my partner Rob and our daughter Kamala.”
“Rob??” I got confused.
“Yes. Rob. Robinson”
