What do you look for in your significant other?

Hi,
So just wanted to find out what your perfect significant other would be. What qualities would you look for? Where would you want your first romantic date to be?

You never know she might be here. :)

Well call me a shameless piece of hot ass but I go for "Looks". It is my No.1 criteria - if sexy then worthy of me. :D

No. 2 is smell.

No. 3 is deep thinker. Not dark just deep. Cause I am quite easy breezy. So someone a little on the other side, compliments well.

No. 4, needs to be a good dancer.

No. 5 needs to be GREAT in bed.

Hmm....top 5?

1) Swagger. I'm really into girls who exude confidence. Not to be confused with being cocky, but I like women who are sure of themselves.

2) Sense of Humor. She has to laugh at my jokes, and make some of her own

3) Hair. I feel like someone having a hot dykey haircut will almost always earn them a second glance from me

4) Scent. Girlies in armani code or acqua di gio? Droolworthy.

5) Intelligent. There are far too many ridiculously hot but not-very-smart girls out there who make me think I'd be better off carrying a conversation with my pet goldfish. I want to be able to discuss politics with interspersed hot makeout sessions

And being great in bed does earn bonus points ;)

My top 5:
1) Intelligence: This one is a must have. Otherwise - deal breaker.
2) Sense of humour: Again - non-negotiable.
3) Passionate: In bed & about life.
4) Adventurous: Life is too short to live it predictably.
5) Clean: If I'm going to let you get jiggy with me, you had better have impeccable hygiene.

If I am thinking abt my S.O., I already know I find that person very attractive. That said, in the order would be very loving (PDAs are perfectly fine and ensoraged), Honesty (Brutal honesty at times), Goofy (a tiny bit), Ability to surprise (in a positive way or in the ;) ), a tiny bit smarter than me (but not too much).

1) Intelligence: There is only so much time one can stare at the person/ fool around with him/her. Since you're talkin the rest of the time, brains/intelligent conversation are one of the most important things to me, if not the most.
2)Looks: I won't necessarily say I'm only attracted to good looking people, but the men/women I like fall into a certain mould. You could be hot as hell, but if you're not my type, thats a no-go.
3)Sense of humour: I'm funny, I expect my partner to be.
4)Hygiene: I bathe a couple of times a day, so that is very, very important to me.
5)Somewhat similar interests: I think having similar interests or at least somewhat similar likes & dislikes makes things a whole lot earlier, something which is true for all kinds of relationships- romantic or otherwise.

thanks for the responses everyone. Really appreciate it. I haven't really dated anyone yet (i guiess there's not so much gaysi love around where i live) so that gave me a good idea of what people find to be the most important qualities.

I am cute, funny, shy (only at first) and easy going.

I look for women that are :-
1. Attractive looking with good vital stats
2. Talkative (because i am not all that talkative)
3. Protective
4. A music lover. Someone that has a good knowledge about music and travel

1. Has to be mentally stimulating. I can't be with someone who cannot hold a conversation.

2. Has to be HAWT. My definition of hot includes confidence, attitude and brains(not necessarily in that order.)

3. Has to be better than me intellectually. I need to be in awe of her to be with her.

4. She needs to understand my jokes.(This is a rarity!!!)

5. She shouldn't be a push over.(Turn off)

Kidding... I am more interested in whether you will make me laugh... because that, I believe, is the key to a lasting friendship/relationship. Being presentable gives you extra brownie points. Nobody likes to go out for a meal and attract an audience for all the wrong reasons. I would like you to be educated (or at least well-read) because I speak Hinglish and I am not comfortable in either of the two languages on their own to be able to carry a conversation properly. =)

2. Intelligent / Smart / Curious - someone who loves to explore ideas, concepts - things we can learn talk about and learn together
3. Attractive - beautiful eyes do it for me every time!
4. Likes to travel and explore the world - in luxury, no camping out for us :)
