A Guide to Understanding Lesbians : Part 1

Recently, we were contacted by someone from a Men’s Magazine that shall not be named but I can tell you that their name begins with an ‘F’, ends with an ‘M’ and has a middle initial of ‘H’. We were asked if Gaysi would be willing to answer a ‘witty questionnaire on lesbian sex’. Witty? Warning bells! But you know how we have a penchany for attracting these sorts.

So this fabulous Sunday morning while we were prepping ourselves for another Gaysi Podcast, I noticed some kind of chaos on multiple community pages on Facebook. A deeper look and this story unfolded- Mumbai city. Queer Party. Rented Bungalow in the suburbs. Police raid. 133 men detained. Media exposé. A case of “indecent behavior” filed.

The treatment of the subject has been carried out in a fairly respectful fashion so far … heartening that it isn’t satire ( Apart from the odd snickering on the lines of “Thats why he runs from his wife!!” …but heck. That does happen. Both snickering and running from the wife. )

When reviews of Pulitzer prize winner Joseph Lelyveld’s “Great Soul: Mahatma Gandhi and His Struggle with India” hit the newspapers in England and US claiming that the book says Gandhi was a bisexual and had a German-Jewish bodybuilder lover in Hermann Kallenbach it created immediate sensation.
