Hello All! If you’ve always wondered what we sound like in real life then today’s your absolutely lucky day! Presenting our very first gaysi podcast! Ta-Dah!
We made many attempts to co-ordinate across 3 timezones as QC was in CST, I was in GMT & MJ & Chicklet were in IST. After several cancellations (most of them from MJ) we finally got together on Skype last weekend & much laughter & hilarity ensued. We talked for about an hour & then volunteered poor QC to play the role of editor. Thank you QC – you can be so useful when you try.
We really should have planned ahead & had an agenda and a list of things to talk about. Meh! Next time, maybe.
Actually, we’d love it if more of you would like to participate in the podcast. If you’re too shy – send us suggestions on things to chat about. We’re thinking of making this a bi-monthly feature, so do leave us feedback (other than ‘stop giggling’).
So listen on as QC, MJ, Chicklet & I talk about this that and the other:

[ Opening Title Song Credits – Bappi Lahri, 1982]
I LOVE IT. And I love the giggling too.
nice job girls..n don’t u dare hold back your giggles next time 😀
Oh its so easy to fall in love with u girls 🙂
Two corrections here;
a) The Mela is on the 23rd of Jan and not 22nd. My bad!
b) STOP blaming the poor soul aka. ME. It was QC who kept canceling out on us. And was rightly punished. By Broom.
Thank You.
Broom kept canceling. MJ kept running off to pee. Chicklet was drunk. And somehow I got punished.
You editors really need to pick on someone your own age 😀
Broom..i like ur voice! and yes..this gaycast oops..podcast was interesting…i especially like the question about holding the Pride on different days…perhaps one day we would have a National Queer Day..the first country to have it!
wishing the Mumbai Pride all the very best!
This was fun! You guys should do this more often.
omg. chicket.. you sound so cute.. am almost tempted to join in on the pursuit of u 🙂 i hear u have many a fan(s)
Excuse moi….I am the one with highest number of fans here. And didn’t you hear the ladies chant “MJ is the best!”….haan?

Ah such love….let me take this opportunity to thank the one responsible for this much adored status …..I would like to thank…ME. Cause without ME…I wouldn’t be ME.
:* ME
Was nice. I loved it . A great end to a long day while desperately trying to keep myself awake. I heard someone calling my name – or was it just my own imagination? Huh!
Having been lazy for a while now, I have decided to play the game well – “Oh MJ is the best! MJ is the best!” Am I off the leash now? Ah “MJ is the best!”
Okay I loved Broom & Chicklet’s voices too, and I guess I’ll say “MJ is the best” because everyone else is saying it 😛 but what about QC?! I wanted to hear more of that voice! My favorite bit was the part about the west not inherently being better than the east – India is just slower, it may need , you know, 200 years LOL.
loved it, wud luv to join u guys when u podcast next.
mj is the best, am really looking forward to the qam pride march! 🙂
Awesome work 🙂 really enjoyed the whole podcasdt but being a little greedy i wish it was longer 🙂 all of you have amazingly sexy voices as well…i must add. I think all of you are equally as awesome but mj is the best 🙂 lol had to add that it seems to be the trend.
As for future ideas i think coming out could be a topic, how to go about finding relationships in India (or being gaysi outside), what problems people encounter etc etc.
🙂 thank you all for taking out the time to listen to our very first podcast.
and please don’t further spoil this brat ( MJ ) so much.. its I & QC who bear the brunt of it the most * sigh * but yes, we love her 😀
@Stret-a-Scope really ?where are they ? oh heck – where are YOU ?? 🙂 *kidding* thanks for the compliment.
@Anurag you made my day!! seriously. Coming from you is BIG. and yes, we will make sure we hear a lot of QC in the next one. would you like to join us ?
@MJ baby u are the best.
@Broom i <3 you!
i also think MJ and Chicklet should be in charge of the kissing booth. It would be a joint Mumbai-Delhi venture..it could be in an indoor private venue if being in public could cause problems 🙂 we would get an increased number of gaysis i can guarantee that.
Awesome idea…Love to hear a lot more 🙂 keep going.
Loved the giggles and the laughter…I’d say makes it real
QC: Am sure editing stuff like this is not easy. Esp keeping the last bit in 😉 nice and evil…way to go. U rock kid!!
ummm…not very sure but did i smell a bit of India bashing going on there…i mean with people coming out slowly and surely, i believe we are doing a great job. And, what is the model we are comparing it with – WEST? We have a history and we will come up in our way. Aren’t we are as much to blame as anyone else. I am ok walking the Pride but i will not put my name of gaysi? Ladies, come on…movements, revolutions, change all begin with individuals. We are out there, encouraging others and really is ‘time’ the only index? Desi Pride and Gaysi pride, lets hear it for both.
Anyway enough rambling.
Looking forward to the next one. Gud Luck!
i thought it was a great job that all of u did. i would like to see more of the eds on podcasts as well.
i think its hard to compare india to the west we have our own histories of how lgbt people were treated. if u look at temples in konark and khajuraho the number of erotic statues, even same sex, is astounding. but since then india has been invaded a number of times and ruled for over 200 yrs by the brits so it is understandable it will take more than 60 yrs of independence to remove the colonial thinking on this topic still in many indian minds. 60 yrs after independence i dont think the US was very gay friendly.
I think the West was more responsive to change and lgbt rights for more reasons..firstly there has been a lot of societal changes from being a religious to secular society, there’s been various other movements happening at the same time. people have become more open minded there in lot of places. divorce is more accepted and there’s less stigma in the west than india but things are slowly changing.
secondly…there has been more violence and homophobia and hate against lgbt in the West compared to India over many centuries. The most gay friendly country in the world..the Netherlands has had a history of hanging gay men and torturing lesbians. As was the case in many places in Europe esp WW2 in Germany. This did not exist in India and we should be proud of this fact. No matter how homophobic Indians can be today the fact we didn’t have this violence makes some people think that there’s nothing to make up for and everything is fine the way it is. there are so many other pressing societal issues in people’s minds in India they don’t think of this as urgent.
thirdly is peer pressure. all the countries in the EU seem to have a gay friendly attitude and the same in the US and Canada but gay rights isnt something that is widespread in the subcontinent. and India’s immediate neighbours are in the subcontinent and few have even legalised us let alone given us rights apart from Nepal. So that affects people’s opinion and how likely they are to embrace lgbt rights. in the subcontinent u can hold hands with a same sex partner and show some affection without being labelled..this would not happen in the west.
Not excusing homophobia in india but these r my reasons for why its like that.
This is just my opinion on why i think we are still light years behind many countries in the world.
Glittery and Shiny I agree with your sentiments, I assumed they were being sarcastic about the 200 years thing – time is really not an indicator, and there is really nothing productive about comparing India to a country as messed up as the U.S.
Chicklet – of course I would like to join in on the next podcast!
Ahh….categories and labels……..Quantum Physics says there are only probability waves and potentials…….. Love the choice of “Disco dancer” song though…..whose idea was that?
MJ ! MJ ! MJ !
the songs she makes me source….gaaaah!
Hope MJ got a lot of Eye Candy she asked for..
Chicklet : Ten days long “thingy” – You sound really cute, my mind gave u a really cute riya sen type hair, long soft hair-do n with a big smile.. 🙂
Firangaysies – New word coined!
LOL’ed at the expressing MJ gave when Broom asked about the wet Tshirt contest. – yeah!??!
Loved the way the podcast ended.. are we done? mujhe ..aarahi hai 🙂 he he
Dont you ladies Hold back your giggles! thats one of the best part of these podcasts 😀
