Global Queer Desis

I got an exciting email from a desi ally this weekend about a new resource bank for queer desis in South Asia and the diaspora:

www.globalqueerdesi.wordpress.com

This site includes lists of organizations, books, films, magazines, blogs, and they even have a RSS feed on the side bar that includes Gaysi! The website is still in it’s very early stages but I am very thrilled and hopeful for its potential.

The creators are asking for everyone to contribute any knowledge they may have about queer desi resources, publications, and so on.  The South Asian countries they are including are Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka (and the diaspora), but there is no harm in contributing any knowledge of resources in the other South Asian countries.  Furthermore, they are collecting information for queer desis in Islam, Hinduism, Sikhism etc.

Contact them at advocacy@trikone.org or geita@riseup.net
