MP finance Minister Raghavji resigned earlier today after being accused of sodomizing his domestic help. The victim claims that there were two other men as well who sodomized him. Allegedly he has handed over a CD with evidence to the police, which was recorded by a third man who present at the time this took place. A case against the minister has not been filed as yet, however Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has received the resignation letter and passed it on to state Governor Ram Naresh Yadav for acceptance.
Raghavji has not yet been available to comment on the situation.
It remains to be seen how this will affect the gay community that is sure to face some discrimination and criticism from conservatives. Let us be the first to say that if this is in fact an act of rape or non-consensual sex, it does not necessarily prove that a person is gay or straight. It only speaks for the lack of morals, respect and self-esteem of the individual forcing himself on another person.
