El Paso, Texas: Another teen succumbed to suicide earlier this week. 16-year old openly gay high school student, Brandon Elizares, ended his life after being bullied and threatened for 2 years.
According to his parents, Brandon had received many threats of being stabbed and of being set on fire from various students. The school had done its part by reprimanding students for bullying Brandon but unfortunately it didn’t seem to stop the bullies.
It’s unfortunate to hear that even with the protection and help of parents and school authorities, bullying still cannot be stopped. If peers do their best and yet fail at preventing youths from bullying, what other solutions are there?
