The Humsafar Trust presents- An Awishkar Production- Ek Madhav Baug (Marathi Performance)
“Ek Madhav Baug” is a marathi play by the late celebrated playwright Chetan Datar. “Ek Madhav Baug” is a pioneering play about homosexuality and acceptance of the gay community.
This poignant play tells the story of a 21 year-old youth coming to terms with his sexuality. The play is seen from the point of view of his mother who discovers that her son is gay and through his diary, relives his journey of discovery of his own sexuality.
Scripted and Directed by Late Chetan Datar, this play will be performed by Rama Joshi and produced by Awishkar Theatre Group.
We will be having a Free Performance at Acharya Atre Natya Rangmandir, Shankara Chowk, Opposite Kalyan Dombivili Muncipal Corporation, Kalyan (West) on May 10th at 9pm sharp. The play will be presented in Marathi.
