Boundaries

as we lie together

minds and bodies entwined

in perfect, formless symmetry

boundaries diffuse all around

gently

like the smell of the flowers

in your hair

and I wonder if your oustretched arm

is not my own

and I wonder how I missed

once again

that delicate moment

when the unscientific chemistry

of our primitive, basal being

synthesized

a single heartbeat
