Illustration : The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe

The illustration is a take on the 1950 book, ‘The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe’ by C.S Lewis. In this modern reimagining, what greets the children on opening the wardrobe shutter is not a magical world, but the reality of ‘unnatural’ sex. For the ‘perpetrators’ of this, exposure is horrific and humiliating, given how society functions.

Maitri Dore, an architect by profession always had a childhood penchant for cartooning and illustrating.
