Bangalore Celebrates Historic Naz Verdict Anniversary

Bangalore’s Queer Groups have decided to celebrate 1st anniversary of the historic Naz Foundation decision decriminalizing IPC 377. In glorified words; mating between two consenting adults of same sex is no longer a criminal offence in India. * Mind you we are still fighting it out in the Supreme Court *

Good As You, We’re Here and Queer (WHAQ), Swabhava & Lesbit together, have organized a musical evening featuring; Philadelphia based singer Fatimah Loren, Bangalore based singers Sumathy Murthy and Akkai, and the Lesbit troupe.

Date: July 1st, 2010

Time: 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm.

Venue: Mother Tekla Auditorium, No.10, Casa Brigitta, Old Passport Office Road, Brunton Road, Bangalore – 560025

More Bangalore events as part of the Naz celebrations are in the pipeline and we at Gaysi, as always, will keep you guys informed. Stay tuned!
