New Jersey Governor Vetoes Bill For Same Sex Marriage

Along side Washington State, New Jersey too has passed a bill to legalize same sex marriage. Without wasting any time, Governor Chris Christie vetoed the bill as soon as he received it on Friday. Gov. Christie, a long time opponent of same sex marriages, believes that the decision to legalize gay marriage should be left in the hands of the voters.

Now lawmakers in New Jersey have until the end of the legislative session in January 2014 to override the veto.
