Pinky Promise: A Celebration Of Gaysi’s 10 YEARS And The Persistence Of Many More Against All Odds

O – you already know that we at Gaysi are big fans of queer stories, theatre, and chocolate cakes, so we decided to celebrate Gaysi’s completion of 10 years with an evening of short story theatre acts followed by a big birthday blowout amidst all our favourite people!

You must believe that the last 10 years wouldn’t have been possible without your voice, sharing, undaunted love, thought and the indomitable faith. So, we at Gaysi, are truly honoured to invite you to celebrate the last decade with us on the 9th of December 2018, Sunday at HOP: House of Party, Andheri West.

Let’s raise our glasses and toast to the spirit of this fabulous year which witnessed the Supreme Court verdict validating same-sex love and the many diverse voices we have heard in the last decade through the various mediums at Gaysi.

Patchworks Ensemble (yep – the makers of Tape – The King of Drag) has been one of the many gifts we have received in the last decade and Sheena Khalid, one half of Patchworks, has wonderfully directed the six short story acts, which have been specially written by some of the finest writers of our times, to mark this special evening. The stories are a lovely ode to that which we easily forget yet which animates the center of existence.

While one story admires resilience, another turns to the blind intelligence of thoughts and memories. All the stories are unselfconscious and you’d see love and optimism flowing between them and perhaps, filling all our hearts.

We are super excited about the evening and hoping you’d make time for us this time too. We pinky promise you a sexy evening. MWAH.

Lots of Love,
Gaysi Family.
