Her Stories

I listen to her patiently, Whilst pretending I’m not looking at candy

On our first date,
She tells me stories
From her childhood

I listen to her patiently,
Whilst pretending
I’m not looking at candy

She looks so good
I keep forgetting
What she’s saying

I sit and stare
At her delirious ways,
Those eyes are to die for

Try as I might,
I can’t keep track
Of a thing she’s saying…
