Okay…I get it, some of you are a wee-bit startled reading a post on weddings from me. What can I say? It’s a force to be reckoned with especially after the American Supreme Court struck down DOMA (Defense of Marriage Act) & PROP 8 in the state of California. And while in India we eagerly await the ruling on IPC 377, for now we are immensely happy for all our desi-dyke friends across the globe who are making their dream-wedding come true.
A BIG congratulations to Prerna Lal (Gaysi guest contributor) and her partner in crime Lindsay Schubiner. Their wedding on 9th of July was attended by several friends from DREAM ACT.
And then there is the Shannon & Seema wedding, captured so magnificently by their photographer friend Steph Grant. Its no wonder the link to Steph’s website has been posted & re-posted on several queer blogs & Facebook pages.
Sigh! If pictures do tell the truth then one day maybe…perhaps..possibly…could be me there too. *blush*
