Pussies irrevocably change your life. Once you’ve had one, it’s likely that life will never again be the same. And they’re sometimes kind of like chips – no one can have just one.
That’s why I was euphoric when my flatmate moved in along with her two pussies. I loved them both like my own. I became their human. And I finally became the cat lady I always wanted to be.
Every day we would cuddle, give each other scratches all over, chase one another around the house, and get high on catnip. On weekends, we would watch our favourite shows and nap off the food coma that came with lunch.
Some people say that cats are unlike dogs and that they don’t get attached. And to those people I say, gah, you don’t know what you’re talking about. Our cats had their favourites – the Calico owned my flatmate, the ginger owned me. And they would wait for us to get back home after work. They really did, I tell you.
Unfortunately, I moved cities and left them behind with my roomie. But I do know one thing for sure: I now definitely want a cat as a pet. A gorgeous feline, who will purr with contentment as we snuggle under the covers and sleep in each other’s warm company.
If you feel me and have a story like this from your own life, we want to hear. Tell us how your pet(s) have changed your life. Have they made you a better person? Have they become your family?
Send us your story at gaysifamily[at]gmail[dot]com (not more than 200 words), along with a picture of your pet before 15th May. And the 5 best stories will be featured on Gaysi for all to read along with receiving Gaysi goodies, and INR 500 Gift Voucher from Petwale.
