Hallelujah!!! We have gained yet another gay ally! Our most favorite reporter of all time, Mr. Anderson Cooper has come out of the closet. Well, it’s not that he was ever in the closet but today he set straight all the rumors revolving around his sexual orientation.
In this email to his friend at the Daily Beast, Cooper explains articulately why he chose to keep quiet about his personal life, and more importantly why he thinks now is the right time to come out to the public.
Anderson, we respect you for all your work as a journalist. Our respect for you has grown even more as you once again educate the world on the importance of visibility, using yourself as an example. You are a true hero to us and we only hope that others, no matter whether famous or not, follow in your example of making our community more visible.
