The 20th anniversary issue of Bombay Dost – India’s first gay magazine – features  Imran Khan on  the cover. In a candid interview, Imran talks about the success of Delhi Belly, his new films with Katrina and Kareena and why he “locked lips” with dost Ranbir Kapoor on Karan Johar’s show.

Imran becomes the first top Bollywood actor to feature on the cover of Bombay Dost and in fact any gay magazine in the country. “It is flattering to be called a gay icon,” Imran told the magazine. “I have always been a supporter of gay rights.”

The August 2011 issue turns the spotlight on the first ‘gay lovers’ in an Indian soap Dakssh Ajit Singh and Karaan Singh, and has interviews with Onir, Arjun Mathur and theatre actor Mona Ambegaonkar. Theatre person Chitra Palekar talks about parents of lesbian and gay children.

The anniversary issue brings out for the first time ‘The Queer Power List’ – a list of 20 LGBT persons who have made a difference in the lives of others.

After almost a decade long hiatus, Papa Passion returns to dole out advice on getting over former boyfriends and how to walk the pink path to relationships.

The special issue includes features on being out at work, surrogacy, exclusive behind-the-scenes look at Kashish 2011 and a centrespread of hunks from Kerala.
