Coming Out follows the inspiring stories of members of the LGBTQ community in India who have finally decided that they don’t want to hide who they really are, or who they love. The series is created and produced by 101India.com, a youth portal focussed on telling stories about a new India.

Coming Out With Chanchal
Chanchal is 25 and is from Jabalpur, in Madhya Pradesh. He realized he was a trans-male when watching a TV programme on transgenders and has moved to Mumbai to complete his transition. Chanchal’s journey is inspiring and has been enabled by his large, conservative but loving Jain family who may not understand the gender politics-but want their kin to be happy, and his long term college sweetheart who ‘loves him just the way he is’.
