The Godrej India Culture Lab in Vikhroli hosted an event, ‘Queering The Law’, on January 10 as part of Queer Azadi Mumbai’s ‘Pride Calendar’, an eclectic curation of events across the month of January warming up for the Mumbai Pride Parade on February 1.
Part proceeds from the tickets sold at this party will go towards Queer Aazadi Mumbai (QAM)!

The city of joy had its first pride, also India’s first-ever pride, in the year 1999. It was called the Friendship Walk. We have certainly come a long way since then, with hundreds of people attending this year’s pride.
In association with Queer Azaadi Mumbai, an organisation working to organise and create spaces for the community in Mumbai.

The Sec 377 ruling was the first step towards a better, more equal India. We only hope that we move forward.
This year Awadh Queer Pride plans to organise ‘Awadh Queer Pride 2019’ on 10th February 2019. Coupled with this there will be several other events such as – Queer Evening, Film Screening, Play based on queer theme, sensitisation programmes with the police, universities and colleges, and the media.
