All The Times – Parts 1, 2 and 3

To some degree it needed to be Normalized Not every single word should give you Butterflies

The best thing she could give her
Was not a piece of her heart
And the only thing that she could bring
Was a brand new start

And every time she had started
she was brought to an end
And every end the same but
She wasn’t the same

And she was trying to find her
When she was as lost
And she was trying to find her
Whatever the cost

And all the times that she was
Losing breath over others
And all the times that she was
Gaining ground undercover

And sometimes when she’d text her
She would melt at her Hi’s
And sometimes when she’d call her
She’d have butterflies

To some degree it needed to be
Normalized
Not every single word should give you
Butterflies

But every time she heard her voice
She fell into a trance
And every time she heard her voice
She could feel her warmth

And all the times that came to pass
when she was in between
And all the times that she had treated her
like a literal queen

And all the times her name was
right under her tongue
And all the times her name was
Blinking in the front
of her screen

She said she would be there
right upto the end
And she had teary eyes
after hearing that

And all the times she had
looked at herself like a puzzle
And all the times she had wondered
she was fit for another

And all the times they had wanted
to mend one another
And all the times they needed
to start acting like lovers

And all the times for her that were
Never enough
And all the times that she had meant to play it tough

And all the time she had spent
in avoiding all mirrors
And all the times that she had wished
That her reflection was actually her

And she got something more than she
was ready for
And she got something more than she had
bargained for

And she brought so much more with her
than she’d ever planned
And she got so much more than
She had ever demanded
of love
Was it enough?

She called her name, did it again
So well. She could tell.
So. She called her name, did it again
She could tell. So well.

She played it cool
She played the fool
She played it cool
She played the fool too.
