Yes, I am queer,
I tread each step with lingering fear.
Who knows when my truth may shine clear?
What will society say, will they jeer?
But our scriptures teach us to live without restrain,
Why this divide, why must I explain?
Don’t I have the right to speak my mind?
I’m just like you, not different kind.
Yes, I am queer, that’s my creed,
In society’s gaze, I’ll plant my seed.
On life’s path, my identity I’ll mold,
With love and support, I’ll be bold.
Through my voice, my message will fly,
I’m just an ordinary person, like you and I.
Yes, I am queer, proud and true,
In every way, just like you.
